In the early 20th century, Hermès created an unusual dog collar for a client. Some with bells, some made of precious skin, some with streamlined studs. Inspired by these collars, designed to protect hounds elegantly, Hermès has redesigned the belt with rounded pyramid studs and rings. From the stripped-down lines and volume, the later bracelet "Collier de Chien" was born.
